Quarter Demi-Lune Console Table
Design - Nick Justinian
The Quarter Demi-Lune Console Table is inspired by French ceramicist Emmanuel Boos, and is based on dropped porcelain forms to create buckled-form convolutions. In this design, I feature a console table that is supported by two carved limestone bases. It features 3/4"-thick glass mounted on four brass standoffs. The left base shows three corner divots on the edge to catch the light as if they are nibbles off the edge.

Canova Waterfall Console Table
Design - Nick Justinian
The Canova Waterfall Console Table is inspired by the physics and engineering principles of buckling convolutions, much like those seen in distortions or morphed layers of the earth after earthquakes. In this piece, 3/4" thick glass is mounted on brass standoffs and supported by two stele carved marble bases. The twists and drapery-like chiton forms are reminiscent of Antonio Canova's sensually carved and poetic figurative works, and may include gold leaf details. Although, suited for scanning and additive-manufacturing in specific materials, this carved marble version features four options of stone:
Thassos White Marble
A pure, pristine, and brilliant white marble with a crystalline structure that reflects light beautifully. It is almost entirely devoid of veining and monochromatic. The soft highlights and deep shadows of the buckling bases will read exactly like raw, smooth clay.
Carrara Marble (Statuario)
For a lighter gray background with subtle, feathery grey veining, Statuario historically is favored by sculptors for its fine grain and relative ease of carving of intricate details. The gentle grey shadows inherent to the stone naturally accentuates the deep creases and folds.
Sivec Marble (Macedonian White)
A fine-grained, exceptionally white marble with a highly uniform appearance and an almost translucent quality —Sivec transforms beautifully under a chisel and can take an incredibly fine, satin finish. The slight translucency gives the stone a "soft" depth that mimics the surface quality of wet or moist porcelain.
Bianco Pentelico (Pentelikon Marble)
An historic white marble with a warm, slightly off-white or cream undertone and a very fine grain —Pentelico introduces a faint warmth in material that enhances the "organic" feel of the clay form for design. Its fine grain holds crisp edges and deep folds suited to the concept.
The Leaf Side Table
Design - Nick Justinian
The Leaf Side Table features a carved Carrara marble top with patterns of ornamental stainless steel leaves mounted on an Atomic-style stand of satin-finished 304L stainless steel. The satellite tapered legs are threaded and screwed in place at the base. This work serves as an artistic statement on the sanctity of life amidst a nuclear contentious world.

USA250 Semiquincentennial Coffee Table
Design - Nick Justinian
As our nation celebrates its historic Semiquincentennial, a tribute to the enduring ideals of liberty, strength, and defense of our freedoms and way of life for future generations, is merited.
This coffee-table design is a commemoration and celebration of the many pieces of America that makes this country special to me. I present this Federally-themed table design. It features a three-colored geometric red and blue fused-glass top with white glass stars along its perimeter, and is mounted over a Space-Age style, elegant stand of satin finished, 304L stainless steel. Laser engraved below it are the words,"...liberty, strength, and the defense of our freedoms for future generations..." In the center, is an enameled or cloisonné made emblem that may be thermally set into the glass, allowed to be set slightly proud and then polished to a desired sheen.

AI and Production Remarks: Using Generative-AI to create images of designs can sometimes create remarkable and unintended results from unrestrained prompts. In this glass tabletop layup-design, "recursive geometric tiling" was generated in the first result. "This is a process of substitution tiling where complex shapes or patterns are generated by iteratively dividing or replacing the original shapes with smaller, scaled-down versions of themselves. This mathematical technique creates highly structured, self-similar fractals and beautiful aperiodic tessellations," according to sources.
Using a metal die-frame that is positioned in place and later lifted, and made along a .dxf pattern of the outlines of the fractal array, a series of hot pours of colored glass can be added into each partitioned cavity, each a different color (red or blue according to the desired design). When the glass layup is completed and slightly cooled, the heated die frame is lifted, and the final fused slab assembly is then reheated and melted in place onto a clear, thicker glass-substrate on the reverse side.
